Visualization//1

I love when ideas, concepts, patterns, chaos are visualized in unique ways by really creative people. This week while doing some personal research on our SYNC series about business, clutter and time management I came across this guys slick visualization program he wrote for his email archive called MyMap.

“My Map allows me to explore different relational groupings and periods of time, revealing the temporal ebbs and flows in various relationships. In this way, My Map is a veritable self-portrait, a reflection of my associations and a way to locate myself.”

I am on the lookout for unique ways to visually compute truth through patterns and practices in our lives and will ‘hopefully’ be sharing them here throughout the series.

What ideas, patterns or relationships in your life would you like to see ‘visualized’.

That’s pretty cool….not that I actually understand it all, but looks cool! You’ll have to de-geek it for a low-commoner like myself! :)

Matt…sweet call on that map…the data visualization on it rocks! Another cool project is http://iwantyoutowantme.org/. (albeit it only maps dating relationships on it…but the interface work is stellar) Sheez…your post is jogging my mind with some ideas for ROOV…ha! :D

Anyhow, the Sync series looks cool. I was just chatting about that with some friends the other day. Our iPhone/Blackberry culture is pervasive with “noise” that can often be one of my greatest hindrances to pursuing a relationship with God. It’s funny how often it’s not an issue of Him speaking louder but rather the need for us to be still and listen. Kudos on the post as well as the message.
